Character of the week

The Comix File: Because Pop Culture is an old man.

Hello once again Comix fans worldwide. The above sentence was our weekly motto, and a new one will appear next Monday. Without further fanfare, I present to you...Kafloom!

See full size imageSee full size image   Unfortunately all I could find for a picture was Kafloom posing with some guy's hand. Said guy went on to open about 5 packages and a couple of envelopes.

Appearance: Kafloom is a living dagger, with a steel blade and a brown body, which has a ring of red cloth around it. Said cloth is covered in gold tassels.

Past: Before arriving at the Comix building, Kafloom fought in the Gnome Beach Dravesty of '67, tearing open enemy crates and cutting bomb cords.

Uses: This character has resigned from his wild life of cutting open bomb crates and has settled down as the Comix building's package opener. As such, he is used to open a variety of packages and envelopes.

Number 133.

Some of his friends, Squeg and Pointerpete, were also in the '67 war, only to arrive at Comix. Be expecting to hear more about them.

If one looks closely, he has a label which says "Made in Iberia."  This is a reference to ancient daggers made in modern day Spain and France.

We say "Made" because he began existing when cast iron facial features were put on a dagger by the creator, for laughs or something. Kind of like that snowman, Billy Bob, I think his name was.

See, pretty similar.

I think that about covers all the info we have. At least for now. Signing off, I'll see you later Comixers.
Hey, that's it! Comix fans will henceforth be reffered to collectively as Comixers.

Trivia

Welcome back to Comix, and first of all, I'd like to apologise. I said that each week a new caption below the title would be provided, but it's not working. Whenever I try to save the caption, the save never finishes. Therefore, I will provide the caption weekly in the first sentence of every Monday post, like so:

Welcome back to Comix! These captions provided by Butter Crisps, now with even more trans-fats!

We reccomend 1 box of butter crisps per life, as the world record crisp eater survived eating 3 boxes. Well, he survived for 5 1/2 minutes, anyways. Anywho, on with the trivia!

Did you know that...

Latex balloons were created when Neil Tollotson attempted to make liquid rubber.

Collectively, all of the gifts mentioned in "The Twelve Days of Christmas" would cost $107,000.

Modern beavers had ancestors the size of bears.

The gorilla's scientific name is 'Gorilla gorilla gorilla'.

68% of a Twinkie is air.

Pictured: "Hey, Twinkie, get in my mouth!"

Maybe someone should tell that gorilla that Twinkies are extinct, and
that he may soon be, as well. That's no joke guys. Save the gorillas.

So... yeah. See you guys on Monday, when we'll be back with another post. Comix out! Seriously, are you going to finish those Butter Crisps?

Reintroduction and important information

Hey guys! First of all, we're back from winter break and have 20 percent more comedy, because nobody likes dried up comedy (Or lip balm.). Also, the caption below the title has changed from ''All Comix, all the time'' so go check that out.

In unrelated news, Comix moose has devised a guide for what to do in case of a fire in the Comix apartment building. Here it is: First, start a fire. Campfire or lighter fire will do, but a brush fire is reccomended. Now, you can expect this fire to spread out of control, but fear not! While everyone else is panicking, calmly pack up your belongings and jump out of the nearest window. Because everyone is a copycat, they will follow suit and also jump out of the windows. Next, re-enter the building and close the shutters on each window, because nobody likes a draft. Pull open some shutters and jump out of the window. Now, DO NOT CALL THE FIRE DEPARTMENT. A 7 story building is not worth it. Grab the hose that you put in your pocket before jumping out the window. You may need to re-enter to get the hose back. Once you have the hose, rip it to shreds and use water directly from the aqua pack you may or may not have brought with you. Congratulations! You have single-handedly stopped a fire, but it's not over yet.
(Off script.) (Audience groans.) (Back on script.) During your rescue, smoke may have gotten into your lungs, in which case oxygen must be administered. Follow the steps in the next paragraph:

Step 1: Hook the oxygen tank up to yourself and check the pressure gauge.

Step 2: Close the flow valve with the motorized gator clamp that you DIDN'T GET WHILE YOU WERE INSIDE THE BUILDING!

Step 3: Open the tank valve slowly to a half turn beyond where the regulator oil is pressurized and ensure that there is a maximum reading on the pressure gauge. Failing to do so may result in confusion or explosion.

Step 4: Before step 1, add nitrogen to the tubing.

Step 5: See step 9.

Step 6: Ingnore steps 5 and 9.

Now you know.

Well, that was certainly interesting, Comix Moose. Come back tomorrow for trivia.

Update! The title caption thing isn't working. I don't know why, but I'll try to fix it.

A gaggle of goose heads

Welcome back to another episode of a gaggle of goose heads! Today's characters are....

Inecapone, a hairy pink blob with bulging eyes and razor sharp teeth,

Slaughtermelon, an evil casaba with a mission: To destroy gophers and racoons. Unfortunately, they normally end up eating him. The Comedy Gophers are safe!

Pinna is Clucky's partridge daughter. Yes, Clucky's wife is a partridge. She is red with an orange head. Yeah, we don't get that either.

Nalitie is a cat with a serious emotion commotion. He/she (gender unknown) has every emotion as a separate split personality.

The Banana Stick Orchestra are a rockin' group of peel-less bananas who always turn the volume up to eleven. There are 5 of them, and they have only been collectively referred to. Their individual names are unknown.

That's all for now and I will see you guys on the 27th, because starting tomorrow Comix is going on winter break. See you guys later, and happy holidays!

The secret name origin of Shrew Glasses

Hey guys! Today we have a short post about the reason behind Shrew Glasses' name. Shrew Glasses was created with Muscles Glasses of Epic Meal Time (Shout out!)  in mind. That would still not explain his ability to use pyrotechincs or his obsession with bacon. Okay fine! The second one was revealed. Jeeze, pushy.
Also, just a reminder that Comix is going on winter break 2 days from now. (December 18th.) We will be back, and we will have bacon.
BACON IS SO AWESOME THAT IT GETS ITS PICTURE GIANT SIZED, FOOL!

Character of the week

Lenny G. has earned the esteemed rank of character of the week this week. As such, I will spill the beans about this rarely seen character.

Appearance: Lenny takes the form of a one floor house with a chimney. An itty bitty stork blocks this chimney with its nest. Lenny has light blue windows, cream color for most of his outside walls, a red chimney, a blue door, and a detached mailbox named Pointer Pete. When talking, his door opens and closes to form the words. His windows have little dot-eyes that are covered by brown shutters when he blinks.

Personality: Lenny is always on edge and it seems that nothing can keep him occupied, though he seems most relaxed when cleaning.

Height: About as tall as 2 of Shrew Glasses (Roughly 4 feet or 1.219 meters tall.)

Likes: Blowing off steam, cleaning, rousing anecdotes (Often told by itty bitty stork.).

Dislikes: Chaos, slobs.

Name: Though he has no relation to the musician, Lenny's name is based on that of Kenny G., a famous player of the saxophone.

Number 142.

When angry, Kenny begins fuming, and the itty bitty flies away as its nest crumbles to bits via an enormous cloud of smoke released from Lenny's chimney. Word of creators (us) officially stated that it takes itty bitty about 45 minutes to rebuild the nest.

That does it for now guys. Wait, no! I forgot. Every week, the caption at the top of the blog page right below the title will change. Right now it says the traditional "All Comix, all the time" but it will be changed.
Comix out, for real this time!

Trivia and contest results

First of all, you guys now get the answer to the common Comix comment contest. Go back a few posts if you haven't seen it. The characters have this in common: Their names are mashups of two words. We like to call them portmanteaus. Now on with the trivia!

Mr. Potatohead was the first tv advertised toy.

Yesterday (December 23rd) was national ice cream day. Today (December 24th) is national bouillabaisse day.

Sesquipedalians are those who are fond of long words. I am one of them.

Google's original name? Backrub.

The tongue is the fastest healing part of the body.See full size image

Still, who says there can't be a belated ice cream day? Just say you forgot. Stay cool, and I'll see you guys on Monday.

Character of the week

As you fans may know, I was strepped for time yesterday when I was supposed to do a character of the week post. Instead, I provided you with a boss typing site and a promise to do the post at a time that is now today. Without further ado, the character of the week, Craig!

Appearance: Craig is a mostly brown llama whose fur covers his eyes. When not covered by fur, his eyes look like two bullet points or periods (Bigger, of course.)

Personality: Craig is an easy character who really goes with the flow. That's how we got him to have his character of the week post moved over a day!

#17

Likes: Soda shops and the breathtaking views of mountain tops.

Dislikes: Bad cooking. Doesn't mean he won't eat it, though.

Friends: Pinna, Buzzbuzz.

Enemies: Lizorio and Lizoria.

Binary code license: Yes.

Bio: This breezy llama could seriously go for a haircut. Craig often spends his time bumbling around the soda shop and contemplating a perm. Craig also donates excess hair to the needy. Anything for better vision!

Shown here with one of his many hair recipents.

Craig is not very well known as a character, so this is really all the info we have now. Well, I've got some editing to do. See you guys tomorrow!

Hey guys! I can't really do a character of the week because of extreme time issues, but there will be one tomorrow. Until then, though, I won't be leaving you with nothing. Tomorrow's character of the week is Craig, who is a llama. As such, here is a website that lets you type with llamas. IT IS AWESOME. Go to www.llamafont.com and start typing!
